What's new?

TSM Members,

As you may know, Camelia Maier has been our Journal Editor for the past 11 yrs.  I am saddened to announce that Camelia has decided to move on from this role.  I would like to take this time to extend a THANK YOU to her for her dedication to this role and the wonderful job she has done in continuously providing us with a high quality Texas Journal of Microscopy.

Therefore, the position of TSM Journal Editor is available.  This role involves 1) organizing the format for the journal, 2) collecting manuscripts, select expert reviewers, render a final editorial decision on each manuscript, and communicate with the authors, 3) collecting abstracts, images, letters, and other materials to be published in the journal, 4) working with corporate members and sponsors to collect advertisements to be included in the journal, and 5) working with the publishing company to print the issues of the journal.

I would encourage you to consider this opportunity.  This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in TSM, develop leadership and communication skills, as well as work with our vendors.  Camelia has agreed to train the new Journal Editor.

If you are interested in this position, or a support role to the Journal Editor, please contact Jodi Roepsch, TSM President, at j-roepsch1@raytheon.com.

Thank you

Jodi Roepsch
